You are invited to attend Canby Lane's Book Character Parade On The Lawn.
Parents Are Invited/ Parents are welcome to bring individually wrapped candy with no nuts.

Location:  Canby Lane Elementary School

We are excited to announce our annual Book Character Dress-Up-Day at Canby Lane Elementary on October 31, 2025 (Friday).  Students are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite character from a book bring a copy of the book that features their chosen character.
This event is designed to promote a love of reading and creativity across our school community.  We are striving for 100% participation from students, faculty and staff.

DCSD Technology Competition- Dare to Dream: The Future is Now 
DCSD’s Technology Competition Vision is to promote technology skills through competition with the goal of challenging students to become digital leaders in the 21st Century. The DeKalb Technology Competition provides great ways to highlight students’ technology knowledge. Students are able to demonstrate creativity and practice their presentation skills while receiving constructive feedback from judges. First Place winners in the competition will automatically qualify to participate in the State Technology Competition which will be held at the Academy for Advanced Studies, March 14, 2026.

Location: The 2025 Technology Competition will be held IN-PERSON
at McNair Middle School (2190 Wallingford Drive, Decatur, GA)

Date: Saturday, January 24, 2026.

Breakfast starts at 7:00 a.m. and ends at 7:30 a.m.
School begins at 7:45 a.m.
Early release ends at 1:45 p.m., daily
 
Canby Lane Uniform-Dressed Code

Canby Lane is uniform-dressed school Monday-Thursday.  Out of uniform on Fridays.  Please no spandex, leggings, crocs, or pants with holes.  Thanks!
